Postal Service Disruptions

With much of the country (the United States) facing various natural disasters, the United States Postal Service has updated their website to reflect service disruptions. Our country is in the unique position to be facing several major catastrophes at once, and it is my goal to offer support and information to handmade sellers everywhere. Over the next few days, I will be covering Hurricane Irma and the other issues to the best of my abilities, and offering assistance to sellers affected. On September 6th, the USPS posted the following link to their Facebook page:

They also included this announcement on their Facebook page:

The U.S. Postal Service is monitoring Hurricane Irma. The Category 5 storm is likely to be the strongest recorded in the Atlantic, with impacts expected for the Caribbean Islands, and potentially, Florida and the southern East Coast. The South Florida District is suspending ALL operations in select offices (see link), effective September 6, 2017. There will be no Retail Services, No Delivery Operations, and no Drop Shipments in these offices effective immediately through close of business Monday, September 11, 2017.

For everyone that is in the path of destruction, whether it be fire or flood, please be safe. Your families and your lives are more important than any orders, sales, or packages. If you are struggling with finding the right words to send to customers who are less than understanding, please feel free to message me directly. I am here to help however I can.
