Funny Reviews: Beach Edition

Just because it is Monday, doesn’t mean we should be all business. I think it’s worth flipping it around every so often and using Monday as an excuse for a good laugh. To that end, an article recently made its way onto my news feed on Facebook and I just had to share it here. Thomas Cook Vacations published a list of the most outlandish, and funniest, reviews they have ever received from customers that were less than pleased with their vacation experiences. We’ve all been there: We shake our heads in confusion. How do you respond to a customer that, in your opinion, has gone off the deep end? Sometimes all you can do is smile, nod, and move on. In the privacy of our own entrepreneurial retreats, though, we can laugh among friends. If you’d like to read the full list of funny reviews check out the article here:

If you want to know which ones I found the most amusing, read on:

“On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don’t like spicy food.”

“They should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax.”

“We went on holiday to Spain and had a problem with the taxi drivers as they were all Spanish.”

“The beach was too sandy. We had to clean everything when we returned to our room.”

“No-one told us there would be fish in the water. The children were scared.”

“We had to line up outside to catch the boat and there was no air-conditioning.”

“I was bitten by a mosquito. The brochure did not mention mosquitoes.”

I want to know which one is your favorite review and have you ever gotten a review that just left you confused (and possibly smirking just a tad)?
